Listing Policy
How are GO8 print listings distributed?
GOsection8.com provides property rental listings directly to participating local Public Housing Authorities. Our listings are distributed to Section 8 Tenants seeking rental housing according to policies set by your local government and non for profit housing offices. Although GOsececton8.com provides available listing data to participating Housing Authorities in real time it is up to each local agency to set their own policy as to when our listings are printed and how they are distributed. GOsection8.com has no control over your local agency's listing policy and practices.

When are listings updated?
All listings entered into GOsection8.com will be added to the GOsection8.com web site and to participating local housing authority print lists immediately. All updates are done in real time and all listings entered are individually reviewed and subject to removal if they do not comply with our terms of use.

Can a Tenant view my contact information if I have a FREE listing?
Yes. A Tenant can always view your contact information (name and phone number) regardless if your listing is free or premium while the listing is Active. A Tenant can also email you using our secure web mail service. Your email address is never viewable online by Tenants.

What happens after a FREE listing expires in 30 days?
In order to keep our online and printed lists as current as possible we do limit Active listing times on free listings to 30 days. After 30 days the status of your Free listing will change to Expired. Expired listings will still appear online for an additional 30 days during which time we will alert you by email when a Tenant clicks on your ad... This is done in order to keep our listings as current as possible.

You can always re-activate an expired listing for up to 30 days after it expires by clicking the Make Active link next to the address of your listing. This will make your contact information available on-line again and re-new your listing for an additional 30 days.

Do Expired listings appear on local housing authority printed lists?
It is up to your local housing agency to determine how long your listing appears on their list. Typically, most agencies will leave your ad on for 30 to 60 days.
